The Brief
S4C commissioned a documentary for Hansh that would capture a unique Welsh cultural event where drag performance meets traditional Welsh storytelling. The brief called for a behind-the-scenes look at an ambitious creative experiment.
Approach
Tinint followed The Queer Emporium as they developed and rehearsed a pilot show that reimagined Welsh myths and legends through drag, comedy and music. The documentary captured the creative process, the personalities involved and the energy of bringing something genuinely new to Welsh culture.
Outcome
Chwarae'r Chwedlau delivered a vibrant, contemporary piece of Welsh-language content that expanded the range of stories Hansh tells, celebrating creativity and Welsh heritage through an unexpected lens.
